The Assam Valley School believes in preparing students for Life; where the focus in on skill development is more important than knowledge acquisition and teaching the child is more important than teaching the subject.

In the 21st century, where knowledge is changing so rapidly, it is very important that skills such as Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, Creativity and Character are developed in each child. At AVS, where Student Voice is part of everyday life it is but natural that our students develop these skills and develop into responsible and confident young adults.

The focus on Whole Education ensures that students get plenty of opportunities to excel outside the four walls of the class as well as within. With over 30 different activities and 17 different options in sports, every student at AVS is able to find a niche for themselves where they flourish.

Ms. Sonya Ghandy Mehta, is a graduate in Psychology and Education.
