How to Apply

 

Classes 5 to 9

Download the Registration Form and Admit Card. The duly filled up registration form and admit card should be sent to the Admission Office with the following enclosures:

·                     Photocopy of the candidates Birth Certificate. 

·                   Duly attested copy of the Annual Exam Mark sheet of the previous year.  

·                    Registration Fee:  A bank draft should be made in favour of the Assam Valley School payable at Tezpur/Balipara towards the registration fee which is neither transferable nor refundable. For Indian candidates the Bank Draft should be worth of Rs.10,000/- and for foreign candidates it should be Rs.15,000/- or 400 US Dollars.

 

Class XI

Download the registration form and the subject choice form. The duly filled up registration form should be sent to the Admission Office with the following enclosures:

·                     Photocopy of the Birth Certificates.

·                     Duly attested Marksheet of Class X Pre-Board or Trial Examination.

·                     Registration Fee:  A bank draft should be made in favour of the Assam Valley School payable at Tezpur/Balipara towards the registration fee which is neither transferable nor refundable. For Indian candidates the Bank Draft should be worth of Rs.10000/- and for foreign candidates it should be Rs.15,000/- or 400 US Dollars.

After Registration :

  • The candidate will appear for a written test.

  • The interview follows the written test. The cumulative result of both is taken to decide which class the candidate suited to.

  • The Headmaster, through a letter communicates this to the candidates directly.

  • The School’s decision is final.

Entrance Test

 

The Admission Procedure includes a Written Test and an Interview.

 

The candidate has to appear for a written test in English, Mathematics, General Awareness and 2nd Language (Hindi/Bengali/Assamese).

 

The Written Test is followed by an Admission Interview of the candidate in presence of the parents. Interaction with the parents is an important part of the admission procedure.

 

The final selection is based on the performance of the candidate both in the Written Test and the Interview. 80% of the total marks is allocated for the written papers and 20%for the interview.
