Orbis

Geographers explore both the physical properties of earth’s surface and the human societies spread across it. They also examine how human culture interacts with the natural environment and the way that locations and places can have an impact on people. Geography seeks to understand where things are found, why they are there, and how they develop and change over time.

Orbis therefore will attempt to make sense of the world and understand our place in it. Orbis with its moto ‘Know Your World Better’ aims to promote curiosity about the world and its diversity of people, environment, societies, and cultures. Orbis aims to develop a geographical imagination among the readers that will enable them to relate to other places and to the lives of people in those places and help to foster a sense of global citizenship and environmental responsibility.
