AVS campus was abuzz with fun, song and dance as a three-day Summer Fest was organized from June 13-15, 2025.
Day 1:
The first day had a fundraiser fete where games stalls and food stalls were put up by teachers and students. The students of the Business Idea Club put up stalls to brainstorm entrepreneurial skills along with their mentor.
A friendly cricket match was played between teachers and senior students where the team of teachers won by a huge margin.
The evening was full of mirth and excitement where new teachers and students gave performances in dance, music and acting to entertain the audiences and share their talent and skills with us.
Day 2:
On Day 2 of the three-day Summer Fest, AVS swayed to the tunes of Western rock bands comprising students under the mentorship of the music teachers. They played a song by American punk pop band ‘Paramore’ among others.
The stage was set for an evening full of fun, laughter and comedy with the Hindi play ‘Kaisey Karenge’ produced by Out of The Box Production and featuring star actors like Darsheel Safary and Abhishek Pattnaik.
Day 3:
AVS students enjoyed the screening of ticketed movie show by Interact Club on Day 3 of the Summer Fest, the funds from which will be used to support NGOs.
An evening of culture, art and music awaited us all as there was a SPICMACAY performance by Padma Shri awardee and Kathak exponent, Ms. Gitanjali Lal and her disciple Ms. Vidha Lal; there was also a Sarod recital by Sarod maestro, Shri Abir Hussain accompanied by Tabla virtuoso, Shri Jayanta Sarkar.
The audience were left mesmerized by swift Kathak movements, an interactive session and soothing Sarod music.
All the three days gave a good breather to students who were rejuvenated ahead of the Summer Semester examination starting soon!
