The Art School and the Craft Design & Technology Centre (CDT) are under the umbrella of Visual Arts at AVS where the students undergo rigorous training and learning in art and design to get university placements in premier Indian and International colleges like the National Institute of Design, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Savannah College of Art & Design, Srishti School of art Design & Technology, Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pearl Academy, ISDI Parsons and Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

The Art school nurtures in the students a love for creativity and artistic expression in many visual and tactile formats. The students develop artistic skills in mediums like oil painting, water colours, glass painting, pencil, charcoal, acrylic colours, pen & ink, pottery and sculpture.

The Craft Design & Technology Centre (CDT) facilitates learning by doing and building a design aware young mind, through craft and design education that fosters applied creativity in the service of individual and collective well-being. Students work with myriad indigenous materials like cane, bamboo, soft wood, wool and cotton textiles, to develop knowledge and skills in visual and tangible design forms. The CDT Centre boasts an active natural dye and screen printing workshop, a bamboo and wood workshop, and a digital design studio.
