Time and again, AVS has produced brilliant public speakers. Our school boasts of a galaxy of alumni who are not just successful professionals but also effective communicators. But it was here at school that they learnt it all, precisely, the art of public speaking. The Individual Speech Trophy is a much-awaited competition that students eagerly look forward to. Perhaps it has something to do with prestige, honour and the distinction of a being a public speaker. This year, 12 young Aviators presented their speeches on topics they connected to or had chosen famous speeches from around the world. It was a treat to watch them deliver convincing and persuasive speeches, thus reaffirming our faith in the subtle art of rhetoric which was held in high esteem by ancient philosophers like Aristotle and Socrates.
