The importance of Round Square schools or any institution that aligns with the Round Square philosophy lies in their commitment to developing well-rounded individuals. Round Square schools such as ours prioritize a well-rounded education that goes beyond academics and focuses on character development, global awareness, experiential learning, and service to others.
Keeping this in mind, 6 students and a teacher delegate joined an exciting and intellectually stimulating Zoom discussion on the theme of Democracy. This Round Square Zoom Postcard meeting was organized by the students and teachers of St Stithians Girls College, South Africa. Nearly 80 students from different parts of the world participated in the 90-minute discussion on the different forms of democracy around the world and how people are affected by the functioning of these democracies. Lots of interesting ideas and thoughts were exchanged and students thoroughly enjoyed interacting and developing some international insight on this important topic.
The students who participated from our school were – Pratiti Barua, Awanya Jasrasaria, Anushka Jitani, Yashvi Modi, Anukriti Kashyap, Akansha Bhuyan and the teacher delegate was Mr. Anubhav Sarkar.
